Kalshi MCP access by plan

Your Kalshi MCP plan decides which tools the server runs. Every new account starts on Free.

Free
Public market data with no card and no Kalshi account: search and trending markets, market detail, order books, settlement-rule audits, and charts — 20 tool calls a day, including 10 deep research calls, with 7 days of market history. Resets at midnight UTC.
Basic
Adds your Kalshi account — view your portfolio and place orders with your own API keys — plus a monthly call allotment and a longer history window. Starts with a 7-day free trial.
Pro
Adds order groups, the realized-gains CSV export, and far higher limits across calls, research, and trading.
Max
The highest limits, full market history, and priority support.

Exact allotments, history windows, and prices are on the pricing page.

Add your Kalshi API keys

Portfolio and trading run on the paid plans. Add your Kalshi API Key ID and private key in the dashboard — a read-only key covers portfolio tools, a trading key covers orders. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each order tool call before it runs. Credentials are encrypted and never pass through ChatGPT.

ChatGPT access

ChatGPT applies its own gate: Developer mode decides whether a plugin can use MCP tools at all, independent of your Kalshi MCP plan above.

Plus and Pro
Developer mode is available on the web and gives the plugin read and write tools. Write actions such as placing an order ask for your confirmation in the chat before they run.
Business, Enterprise, and Edu
The same Developer mode, subject to workspace policy — an admin may need to allow it before it appears in Settings.

Plugins run on ChatGPT web.
